Latest movie Reviews

Cold nights in, no better way to spend them with a hot chocolate, some popcorn and a good movie. These are the latest movies I've seen and I'm going to attempt to tell you about them without spoiling them of course.

The Maze Runner
Okay so going with my Bestie on her birthday to see The Maze Runner I was a little skeptical because I hadn't seen a trailer or nothing so I didn't know what to expect. But what I can tell you is I'm MIND BLOWN. Quick brief..  people of all ages are taken from the normal lives and wake up in a forest, but not an average forest as this one is surrounded by a maze, the only way out. Thing is you will never survive a night in the maze and its too big to escape during the few hours of a day. Along comes Thomas and his knew ideas of conquering the maze. I'm pretty sure it's not spoiling it if I saw they did escape the maze, to spoil it would be to tell you about the results of escaping. Let's just say the maze, the world they live in and their lives before the maze are completely messed up and will never be the same again. I really enjoyed this film, was a proper on-the-edge-of-your-seat movie and also had some really good one liners from good old 'Chuck' (Blake Copper). It was so old seeing Thomas Brodie Sangster all grown up since Nanny McPhee, Action lovers and general all round movie lovers will really enjoy this movie. It has                                                             left me wondering will there be a second.

We're The Millers
I was gutted I missed We're The Millers in the cinema but was delighted to find in on sale on DVD.
David your local drug dealer needs to take a 'smite' of drugs over the boarder from Mexico. To do this he comes up with the idea of a fake family on vaccination to cover there backs. Along comes Kenny ( weird next doors kid), Rose (a delightful Stripper) and Casey ( homeless kid filled with attitude) and he has his family. All these random personality's in a camper van, we all know its going to end in trouble. You will laugh more at this then you will breathe. It's a proper feel good movie with brilliant one- liners. Will Poulter (Kenny) really shows his acting skills with not alone an American accent but playing a right airhead. Emma Roberts (Casey) is brilliant at getting the teenage angst across too while also creating a nice bond with Jennifer Aniston (Rose). All hell breaks loose as this 'family' attempt to make it back to America and you will never believe the outcome. No spoilers, but happy ending.

Identify Thief
Another one I missed in the cinema but am catching up on with the DVD. First things first (I'm a realest.. sorry) this movie went places I never thought it would and it was one shocking ending. Melissa McCarthy plays 'Diana' a lovely sweet woman who steals people's identity's because. .well she never said why but it looked fun. When she stole Sandy's (Jason Bateman) though she didn't know he was going to put up a fight. After tracking down Diana, Sandy convinces her to go home with him to tell his boss it was her that maxed out his credit cards. 'Going home' was not as simple as they thought seeing as all 'Diana's id's are under the name Sandy Patterson, and two Sandy Patterson's getting on the same flight won't work, so they have to drive back to Colardo. A road trip with an ex-con is not going to go well and as you might guess it's not all that simple. But after the many adventures along the way they do get back and this is where the real shock begins. I highly recommend Identify Thief for the laughs, shocking moments and actual tear jurkers, if not only to find out what 'shocking' ending I'm on about.
