Halloween Decorating- Blogtober Day 21

I will firstly admit I decorated on the 2nd of October ASAP, and secondly, I have a serious problem when it comes to Halloween.

Because my birthday is on Halloween, I have a very extreme relationship with this time of year and the most brilliant holiday of the whole year. Over the years I've gathered many decorations, each of my birthdays my mum buys me a little witch of some sort ranging from with ornaments to with earings and also for my 18th I went all out and had a massive Halloween party (although no one actually came, insert violin music) and bought SO many decorations after going into Dealtz/Poundland. We're only a month in our first home and I was so excited to decorate, my poor parents came to visit and I made sure they brought the decorations from home so as soon as it hit October I couldn't wait. As I said I got most of my pieces in Dealz and I'm ordering you right now if you love Halloween go there just to stare in awe at all the adorable pieces. I wouldn't be big in to scary so much, so it was perfect when Dealz has cute decorations not too much spooky.
I'll let the pieces speak for themselves.

This one I actually made myself very simply, crepe paper over class jars and black card to make the faces.. I ran out of ideas for the blue face, and add in some fairy lights or tea light candles.

I think that's about every part of the house with some kind of decoration in it. Roll on Halloween now.

Autumn Look Book- Blogtober Day 19

Ever since I first got involved with the blogger universe, (throwback to my old Youtube days) I have wanted to do a lookbook after seeing amazing videos from different YouTubers putting their own twist on it. I think how much fun you can have and having totally unlimited potential of how it goes makes it so exciting. So when I finally moved with my personal photographer (my boyfriend, who regrets ever agreeing to take part in this) I made this a priority for Autumn as we discovered an amazing park which at this time of year was BURSTING with Autumness.
Now bare in mind I'm one of the most socially awkward people so this was a big thing for me to do in a public area but I just really like sharing how I style Autumn.  Towards the end of September, we headed off (a 40-minute walk help) to find this park with heels and makeup in the bag. I can not explain how beautiful this park is I have about 200 pictures of the place, as at the time the leaves were changing colors and still the sun shone through the trees. We were quite lucky with the evening time being a bit quieter but still, we had to keep stopping because I couldn't pose in front of people (totes redding). We did have great fun messing around with different shots and my boyfriend pretending he was a professional paparazzi, although attempt two back to the park in another outfit didn't go to plan because of too many people around and attempt three we got so lost trying to find this other park that it was starting to get dark as we got there and also it was up the biggest hills ever, but that meant brilliant photos. I had soooo many plans for lots and lots of outfits but with the parks so far away and lots of mayhem going on I'm afraid I only got two looks, but I do love how they turned out.
So with all that in mind I will stop yapping and share my LookBook.

Look 1 is my go-to Autumn outfit.  I live in this gorgeous red skirt this time of year because of the pop of color and how cozy it is. This peter pan collar top is again one of my faves as its so cozy but has a nice detail to it, it also has a long velvet drape at the back but I have it tucked in here.
I actually picked up the skirt from a charity shop I worked in a few years back and the top was from Pennys/Primark.
I paired the outfit my fave ever shoes, my boots from Pennys. I use these way too much for my own good. For a girl that struggles to walk in heels but is 5ft 3, these are a must. There so comfy to walk in and I love how stylish they are and go with most outfits, I like to change up the girly outfit with a bit of punk chic. I also added a pair of tights because it's practically winter here in Ireland and a beautiful necklace that belonged to my auntie and is the perfect Autumn rose.
I kept my makeup very minimal here (as I had to do that long walk) and just went with a pop of red lippy and some mascara.

Look Two is one where it may be too much patterns... but really can you ever have too much.
Starting from the top, my favorite ever fashion piece, my bowler hat from Exhibit. I picked this up a few years back and thought it was the cutest thing ever for that extra statement piece and really suits Autumn. Next, I have some chokers from Pennys, the colors and textures really give me Autumn thoughts (I've only now noticed the hearts upside down, but I'm sure you still see how cute they are) and a printed scarf from Penny's that has the perfect Autumn colors. Starting off the outfit I have a cute leave printed dark colored tank top, I know what your thinking, aren't you frozen? but wait till we get to the cardigan. It's from exhibit but I originally picked it up in the charity shop and it is SO SUPER warm its crazy, everyone officially has to invest in a granny sweater. Next is my favorite little skirt (I think I said the other was my favorite, oops). I love the skater skirt and this pleather one from River Island is a serious style statement. I teamed all this with plain trainers to keep it casual.

I really enjoyed making my first Look Book, what do you guys think? what are some of your favorite Autumn outfit pieces? Let me know in the comments below.

Autumn Night Routine- Blogtober Day 14

What better season to start getting comfy than Autumn right?
I have a 30-minute walk home from college in the evenings so all I want to do is straight into my jammies and into bed.. but first I do have a routine. I've done my post along with a collab from the wonderful Amy check out her amazing and fun routine here

We start off by me and my boyfriend cooking up dinner together, usually, stews lots of veg (vegetarian over here) and as warm and nutritious as possible, quite like last nights dish of Pena Zuppa, a Latvian dish of milky pasta that is soooooo good.

I then torment myself for hours doing college work before finally giving up and totally relaxing in an overly bubbled up bubble bath with candles and a book and sometimes even a hot chocolate for more relaxation,  until the water goes cold.

I use Radox muscle soak for extra relaxation and the best bubbles, the Candles are from Penny's and have lasted me so long and smell so good.

Then, of course, the thing I've been looking forward to all day, Pajama time. Before bed, I lather on my E45 moisturizer as this time of year its a must with the cold air. Then I light some gorgeous sandalwood scented incense, real Autumny.  I have the snuggliest Piglet pajamas (yes I'm almost 22 why? ) I was given as a gift and a huge blanket officially named Cuddles because it's super soft and cozy from Penny's/Primark.

We usually watch a movie in the evenings totally relaxing then I might read for a little while before eventually getting some Z's.

What are your routines for Autumn? any essentials that you must do on this chilly evenings?
Let me know in the comments below and don't forget to check out lovely Amy's post.

Autumn Fashion Essentials- Blogtober Day 8

Along with Autumn makeup essentials, which I wrote about here, of course, you need the Fashion Essentials which is what we waited all year for. Soon as that first chill hits you at the beginning of September your whipping out all the warm jumpers and cardigans in mustard tones and Aztec patterns, along with light scarfs and stylish boots. I think every gal can distinguish between whats for Autumn and whats for Winter, it's just like a natural switch in the back of our minds that flashes when we see something and know its more for winter. We know our Autumn colors are anything dark, orange-red tones that are more cozy than wooly, Autumn is chilly but hopefully, our heavy wools don't need to come out until Winter. Minimal patterns are the key for Autumn, its all about the block statement colors, you want to rock that bright mustard jumper you rock it girl.
Examples of some of my go-to Autumn jumpers are my deep marron jumpers, one with a black Peter Pan collar for an added effect, a gorgeous white cardigan with warm Autumcoloreded patterns on the back and sleeves and a cozy plain orange-brown jumper that I always throw on as an extra layer just for that pop of colour.
I also added in at the end just as an example, my big cozy cardi that's a bit more Wintery as its white with the patterns you would recognize on causal Christmas jumpers.

As with every Season, accessories are included. Scarfs are one of the biggest accessories with Autumn as the air gets chillier you do actually need one not solely for being a fashion statement. I use this one pictured as my main go-to Autumn scarf because of the warm maroon, orange and blue tones with white patterns. Its also quite light that it gives you warmth but not to the excess of a big wooly winter scarf. I got mine from Penny's a few years ago.

Chokers are everywhere right now and I actually only picked up my first ever only recently. I got this gorgeous pack of 6 in Pennys but I picked out these two solely for Autumn as they again have the warm brown tones.

With jewellery, I went with (again) some darker toned pieces. I have a stunning dark brown flower necklace and beautiful rose necklace which both bring flowers into the outfit but not too Summary. I also have a massive statement owl piece which I always wear over plain jumpers to add a bit more to an outfit.

For rings I picked out darker bronze toned pieces, going with the warm theme. As I don't have my ears pierced I was over the moon to find this incredible pack of ear cuffs in Primark in England a few years ago. They are getting more popular and I'm sure theres, even more, varieties of them available, but for this, I picked out one that was leaf-shaped and another that had bronze patterns.

As with the makeup, everyone has their own style and personality, this is just a piece of mine and what I go for in Autumn. Do you have any essential pieces you can't make it through Autumn without?
