Harry Potter Tag

Anyone who knows me, knows I am more in the World of Hogworts then the real world (not that Hogwarts isn't real) so when I cam accross the HP Tag I knew it was for me.

Favourite book ?
I'm going to say The Chamber of Secrets because IOt is the first one that opened up a magical world for me

Favourite movie?

Order of the Phoenix, all the way, I just love it

Least favourite book?

Possible Goblet of Fire, bit lone and drags on

Parts of the books/movies that made you cry ?

When Fred died, I still haven't recovered

If you could hook up with any HP character who would it be?

Draco Malfoy,Just just because who doesn't love a bad boy.. and THAT HAIR

Favourite character ?

Serius Black because of the way Harry is always his priority and Lupin because although he has the change to deal with he is just lovely

What would your Patronus be?

I'd like my Patronus to be a swan because looking at them calms me down but they have that fierce side too

If you could have the Resurrection Stone, Invisibility Cloak or the Elder Wand which one would you choose?

Definitely the invisibility cloak. I like my space and with that you can take a break from the world and no one will see you, also sneaking up on people is a bonus.

What House would you be in?

Well on Pottermore I'm in Hufflepuff which I'm proud to be in.

IF you could meet any member of the cast who would it be?

Most definitely Daniel, or Tom, or Emma or Rupert.. okay anyway to be fair

Have you played any of the video games?

Yes oh my gosh its what has gotten me more into the HP world. Order of the Phoneix on PS2 is just amazing, you literally walk the corridors of Hogwarts.

IF you were on the Quiddich team which position would you play?

I'd like to be a beater, get to take all that anger out on the bludgers.

Were you happy with the ending?

Yes it was simply perfect.. although I'd love to see more obvs

How much do the Harry Potter books mean to you?

They are a place where I can escape into another world where magic exsists and awhole story unfolds. They mean an awful lot.

BBQ Evening

We've been having scorching weather the past week and everyone is out making the most of it, us included as we had a DELISH bbq this evening. I preped the salad and Mango&Pineapple desert while my Mum cooked some veggie burgers and meat free sausages. It was such a yummy dinner, and even better being out in 19 degrees,, which must remind you is unknown of in Ireland. Of course we finished it all over with some toasted marshmellows.. heart shape as you do.

Snail Mail

Today I packed up my latest parcel for my bestie. What I love most about writing to her and what I mainly think Snail Mail is about is being creative. Mostly everything we send each other is homemade and that's the best thing to receive, a gift someone has spent time on and put thought into.

I made this photo fame simply out of cardboard and some tartan ribbon. I found this food glitter toothpick to stick on the top.

I recently came accross someone who was going to through away a load of fabric samples so I took them off their hands because I knew they'd be great for making crafts. I decided to keep it simple and write a nice message on some to be hung up in her knew room and also made a door name out of card, felt and a decoration off an old candle.

when I seen the message on this card I knew my bestie would love it. Its simply the front of an recycled card giving for a birthday and I added my own little message for her.

Lastly I added in this cute teeny tiny little photo frame I came across in a charity shop and finally decorated the front of the package and sealed it up.
One thing better than receiving snail mail is sending snail mail and I love getting the package all sorted out ready to send because I know when she sees it, it'll make her day, like hers do mine.

At Your Service

I recently had a trail day at a local hotel to be part of the banqueting staff at a wedding. It being my 'Gap Year' I said 'go for it, its an experience', and boy was it.
When I first arrived most of the preparation was done we had to do the simple things like fill the sugar bowls and light the tea lights on all the tables. Then came the brief which went in one ear and out the other. I have never waited on tables before nor do I have any idea of the proper etiquette of a waitress at a wedding, so to say I was a nervous wreck is a huge understatement.
We were each assigned a table with 10 people per table (which is mad for someone who works with animals and has never done anything like this before) and as the quests made their ways to the tables we had to each stand behind our table ('smiling always smiling') which I quite liked because I felt so professional in my white jacket and white gloves (like I really knew what I was doing). Next we served the wine, which went as good as it can, not that hard to be honest. After taking the orders (thankfully they only had the choice between two things so I could remember what I was doing) it all went down hill from here... Carrying a single plate is a challenge for me on a daily basis, carrying a huge tray on my shoulder with 5/6 plates on it.. well you can probably guess how that went. Getting the thing on my shoulder was fine, getting it from the kitchen all the way across the ballroom to my table was okayish but getting the dam thing off my shoulder and down onto the 'tray jack' was a nightmare. There was simple to polite way of doing it. First attempt: basically throw the thing from my shoulder down onto the jack and hope for the best whilst catching any plates making a run for it. Attempt two: Give up and stand in the middle of the room until someone comes and lifts the dam thing off my shoulder down to the jack.
Now once the tray was down and the panic was over for a minute I quite enjoyed handing out the dishes and luckily I was only carrying one tray in and then staying in the room handing out the meals as someone else did the running for the next tray, basically we looked like minions scampering around in and out of the kitchen. Now this all went on for Starters, Soups and Mains and by desert I was done I genuinely couldn't carry anymore. After each course we had to bring the plates back into the kitchen and this is 22 people all at once lining up to drop them off at the sink.. drop being the correct word right there. I could not keep the tray on my shoulder any longer and both times as I tried to let it down I completely lost it and had to yell to be rescued before everything went tumbling to the ground. The team were an amazing bunch of girls and really looked out for me and understood that it was my first day and this was not going to come easy to me, so when I asked not to carry any trays anymore (because in all fairness I knew the next course wouldn't make it past the door) they immediately helped and took an extra tray whilst I waited to hand out the dishes in the room.
Once the meal was over, the tables were moved back, the dishes collected, and the trays washed we disappeared into the kitchen.. and I genuinely mean disappeared like that was it everyone went home. I was taking into a room by the manager and offered the job, however as you can probably tell from my horrific (okay wasn't that bad but it felt that bad) experience I didn't take the job as I feel no way ready to do this job on a weekly basis.
I think that's it for my Banqueting days, all I have to say is waitresses I salute you .

Insurgent, Snow White & Home Movie Reviews

Insurgent

As with Divergent I came home doing karate chops and not waiting to be anything but in Dauntless or a Divergent. I absolute love that the main hero is a girl and can I just say Tris is BADASS. Shailene is an amazing actress (simply by going from acting with your brother to being in love with him (TFIOS) to him being your brother again). If I thought the Divergent series couldn't get any better.. I was wrong, the fact that Insurgent was in 3D was a whole new level of awesomeness, and there wasn't a single moment when you could relax and breathe, constantly there was always a new turn of events and things you never thought could happen. If your a fan of Divergent obvs your already planning on seeing Insurgent, but if this is all new to you, give it a chance.. you will be blown away.

Snow White and The Huntsman.

Now this aint no Snow White you remember from your Princess days, this is a dark twist on the pretty black haired, paled skin girl. It's the same story, Snow's father falls for the witch who kills him and locks her up because shes the 'fairest of them all'. This take however makes the witch, if it's even possible, more evil and scary than back in the fairy tale versions. It's a complete dark twist on the tale and for things as simple as the forest, they have made them a whole lot more evil. So really before you watch this you must get it out of your head that its a nice fairy tale and all will be happy ever after.. because this has Charlize Theron as the evil Queen and she is harsh to say the least.

Home

This was simple Brilliant. From the moment I seen the trailer with Oh saying 'I am putting my hands in the air like I just do not care' I was hooked. There wasn't a moment where I wasn't giggling at the Boovs quirkiness and their 'interesting' way of talking, and the cat called Pig.  Jim Parsons aka Sheldon Copper was cast perfectly to play Oh and I kept finding myself thinking 'that is such a Sheldon thing to say'. I can say I have never had such a laugh at the
movies before but this changed all that as I ended up in tears of laughter by the end. Got to be another favorite animation movie, Dreamworks you've done it again.
