Autumn Look Book- Blogtober Day 19

Ever since I first got involved with the blogger universe, (throwback to my old Youtube days) I have wanted to do a lookbook after seeing amazing videos from different YouTubers putting their own twist on it. I think how much fun you can have and having totally unlimited potential of how it goes makes it so exciting. So when I finally moved with my personal photographer (my boyfriend, who regrets ever agreeing to take part in this) I made this a priority for Autumn as we discovered an amazing park which at this time of year was BURSTING with Autumness.
Now bare in mind I'm one of the most socially awkward people so this was a big thing for me to do in a public area but I just really like sharing how I style Autumn.  Towards the end of September, we headed off (a 40-minute walk help) to find this park with heels and makeup in the bag. I can not explain how beautiful this park is I have about 200 pictures of the place, as at the time the leaves were changing colors and still the sun shone through the trees. We were quite lucky with the evening time being a bit quieter but still, we had to keep stopping because I couldn't pose in front of people (totes redding). We did have great fun messing around with different shots and my boyfriend pretending he was a professional paparazzi, although attempt two back to the park in another outfit didn't go to plan because of too many people around and attempt three we got so lost trying to find this other park that it was starting to get dark as we got there and also it was up the biggest hills ever, but that meant brilliant photos. I had soooo many plans for lots and lots of outfits but with the parks so far away and lots of mayhem going on I'm afraid I only got two looks, but I do love how they turned out.
So with all that in mind I will stop yapping and share my LookBook.

Look 1 is my go-to Autumn outfit.  I live in this gorgeous red skirt this time of year because of the pop of color and how cozy it is. This peter pan collar top is again one of my faves as its so cozy but has a nice detail to it, it also has a long velvet drape at the back but I have it tucked in here.
I actually picked up the skirt from a charity shop I worked in a few years back and the top was from Pennys/Primark.
I paired the outfit my fave ever shoes, my boots from Pennys. I use these way too much for my own good. For a girl that struggles to walk in heels but is 5ft 3, these are a must. There so comfy to walk in and I love how stylish they are and go with most outfits, I like to change up the girly outfit with a bit of punk chic. I also added a pair of tights because it's practically winter here in Ireland and a beautiful necklace that belonged to my auntie and is the perfect Autumn rose.
I kept my makeup very minimal here (as I had to do that long walk) and just went with a pop of red lippy and some mascara.

Look Two is one where it may be too much patterns... but really can you ever have too much.
Starting from the top, my favorite ever fashion piece, my bowler hat from Exhibit. I picked this up a few years back and thought it was the cutest thing ever for that extra statement piece and really suits Autumn. Next, I have some chokers from Pennys, the colors and textures really give me Autumn thoughts (I've only now noticed the hearts upside down, but I'm sure you still see how cute they are) and a printed scarf from Penny's that has the perfect Autumn colors. Starting off the outfit I have a cute leave printed dark colored tank top, I know what your thinking, aren't you frozen? but wait till we get to the cardigan. It's from exhibit but I originally picked it up in the charity shop and it is SO SUPER warm its crazy, everyone officially has to invest in a granny sweater. Next is my favorite little skirt (I think I said the other was my favorite, oops). I love the skater skirt and this pleather one from River Island is a serious style statement. I teamed all this with plain trainers to keep it casual.

I really enjoyed making my first Look Book, what do you guys think? what are some of your favorite Autumn outfit pieces? Let me know in the comments below.

My OOTD all Week for College

As I've mentioned quite a few times, I'm not the biggest of girly girls and wouldn't normally dress up or wear makeup on a daily basis, BUT starting college I said to myself I was going to use the nice clothes I have (and not just keep them for 'the right occasion', we all do it right?)  to make more of an effort with my style. Also, I think starting college where there are literally thousands of people, is the perfect time to experiment with your style and be adventurous (just you know, also legal, we're not talking mankinis here) trying new things to either stand out or fit in. So without further ado here's my first week at college attempting to be stylish...

(just a little FYI, these were all taking on my phone as I rushed out the door late for class so they aren't the best of quality).

Day One's outfit was very simple as I am studying Veterinary Nurse I wasn't at all sure what I should wear on my first day thinking we could possibly be in labs so I went for a very casual look. I wore one of my favourite go-to tops with a lace-up front and lace pattern on the back, teamed with casual leggings and a cardi.

The detail on this top is what makes it go from a go-to casual top to a dressy top which is perfect for classes as you want to be comfortable yet dressy. I actually got all of this outfit from Penny's/Primark, which scarcely shows my obsession with that store.
I included the back detail in the second picture but don't be alarmed, I am Irish but I am not that pale, its taken on a white background as you know, I can't physically take a picture of it on my own back, so instead raided my boyfriend's wardrobe for a white top background.

Day Two is one of my favourites as I had experience of what the other girls and gals wore to college/class and started to feel more experimental, although it's still rather simple. Again with this outfit, it's all about comfort (I had a 9-6 day of lectures) and I swapped over to narrow fit woolly leggings (Penny's you are a delight for your leggings) and this time added an even more dressy top. I'm not actually sure where this is from as it's a hand-me-down from my old landlady (who was a legend and gave me three huge bags of clothes to choose from) but again I love the detail. This top is all about flowyness and I don't know how else to explain, but the 'wings' are the main statement part of the top. I love how when I moved my arms I had this flowy look and also was super comfy as it had a warm sewn-in tank top underneath.

I went with my statement hairdo, of a platted fringe (the only plat I can do) and added a very light little jacket I picked up on sale in Penny's a while back which is incredibly light but really adds to an outfit with the pop of green and gold linings around the neck and wrists.

Day Three was when I really got confident and went with a dress. I've seen sooooo many girls in amazingly styled outfits either dresses or perfectly matched tops and skirts and I thought today you know I'm going to wear my favourite dress shirt thingmabob (its a quite short dress that looks like a top). I usually style this with my black bowler hat but left the darn thing back in my home home (not my college home) so instead I added plenty of accessories and went with my big owl statement necklace and more of a plan trainers ( I normally wear big black & pink sporty trainors because I have to walk 30 mins to college) along with tights because A. it's short and more importantly B. its damn cold. And of course it be Ireland and the day I choose to wear a dress, it was pouring rain so I added in my light RiverIsland jacket which again I picked up in a sale (RI sales are the only time I actually enter that shop as normally above my price tag but they do a sale well).

Day Four I felt more autumny and by this stage was wrecked and wanted comfy warm jumpers so I picked this deep maroon one again from my seriously stylish ex-landlady. What really drew me to this top was the Peter Pan collar which I'm a sucker for as they really make an outfit pop, along with this long silky material that hangs over the bum &  tum (just where I need it to cover). I went back to my basic black leggings with this outfit as this day was all about comfort (another 9-6 day).
I did my hair in a little half up bun which I'm really starting to love as a style because it's so simple to do and is a cute little hairstyle that saves just sticking to plain hair everyday.

In case you're wondering about the Halloween stickers, I'm blocking out my weird claw-shaped hand that happens when I take a selfie, it happens to us all right?

Just a little P.S the weather was absolutely gorgeous this day and I was roasting in this jumper.. just my luck.

So that was my weekly OTTD, I'm only in college four days a week (thank the gods for being off Fridays), so thankfully only have to come up with four outfits, pyjamas all weekend. But I did quite enjoy putting together my outfits and look forward to planning some more.

What are your go-to college/school/work outfits? let me know in the comments <3

Autumn Looks

I absolutely love Autumn, the colours, the layers, and the chill in the air. Soon as October hits its like a whole new world with crunchy colourful leaves all over the pavements, a crisp bite when you go outdoors and the excitement of Halloween, its such a lovely feeling. The leaves falling always reminds me of Halloween when I was younger and would go out trick or treating, can't describe it Autumn just makes me so excited.
Along with all the feels I get to dress in my favorite style, boho layered looks with scarfs, cardigans, long skirts and hats I love mixing them all up and creating a colourful warm look.

The beginning of Autumn here has been quite warm which is strange for Ireland but it was nice to pair typical autumn accessories like this cardigan and dark boho dress along with a light crop top.

One of my favorite dresses has to come out at Autumn because of the warmness and dark colours its perfectly casual and adding a scarf and some boots (which clearly are not on my bare feet oops) really finishes of the look.

Loving Their Style

I have some major girl crushes going on right now and am so jealous of the way they can pull of their style. I am so tempted to just go out there and try it because lives too short to care what others think, so here are a couple of the Ladies's style I am loving right now.

First up two girls from my new favorite band.. Only The Young.. Betsy Blue and Parisa. Now not only do they have the coolest names ever, they have an awesome fun personality and you see that in the many videos they put up from being on tour, they also have an amazing bond as almost sisters more then just band mates which is adorable. But what we're really here for is the style and these girls seriously know how to do it well. BB (yeah I'ma call her that) has her own fashion blog here  where she has the most amazing looks shown in pictures that any model would die for.
Parisa's style is more hipster I feel and it totally suits her along with having THEE best Ombre ever.

These two together, along with the boys obvs, really look amazing and have got to be the most fashionable band out there.

Another singer and now its the absolute beaut Ella Eyre, along with having the most amazing hair on the planet, an incredible voice and really coming up the charts right now, I was drawn to Ella because of her style. She really can work the whole BoHo/Hipster look and can pull nothing off better than those awesome round hipster sunglasses. I think with Ella, pictures say a lot more then words.. and how freaking awesome is her style!

I can't believe Ella is only 20, her voice is simply powerful. This girl is going to go far...
I think we have a running them here.. All singers and all Boho/Hipster style, but it really is the look I love and another girl that can really pull it of is Bea Miller.
What I would have given to have that cool of hair when I was only 16, but anyway enough of the hair envy... onto her style. Pretty much everyday Bea puts up pictures on Facebook and Twitter of her OOTD and .. well that girl can just rock anything. Bea's style totally suits her rock-chick attitude and older-than-her-years-voice. The fact that she looks like shes just wearing casual, comfortable outfits, yet still looking stylish is the reason I love her, that and her hair.

Okay so it seems to get the awesome style these ladies have
Step one: Own amazing hair.
Step two: Be yourself.
Step Three: Own it.

My First Earrings

Okay so back when I was about nine I got my ear (yes one ear) pierced and well lets say the reason I got only one done was because I couldn't handle the pain. So years later I have been passed on my Great Grandmothers earrings and fell in love with them. I love anything vintage and bohemian (as you may know by now) and the thing that is most exciting about these is.. there clip on. Now I know what your thinking, plastic bejeweled clip on earrings for kids.. nope, these are proper glamorous beauties and I'm slightly in love. I've never accessorized my ears before but boy have I been missing out. I honestly love these and don't know how I've gotten through my life (all 19 years) without earrings. I've experimented a bit with clipping them on different parts of my ear, which is also a bonus of clip on earrings, you can move them around your ear without having to only keep them where your pierced. Now I'm an earring lover and can officially say "do my earrings go with this dress?"
