Blotober Day thirteen: First Signs of Winter

Okay I know I shouldn't be talking about winter were only half way through Autumn but here in Ireland its either sunny or its cold and wet so we don't normally have the full four seasons although there is the saying 'having all four seasons in one day' that is totally true. So even as Autumn started I instantly felt the chill of winter creeping in and I've been seeing a couple of tell tale signs this winter is going to be a chilly one.

Obviously a real good sign winter is a-coming is having soup for tea because you couldn't possible have anything colder.
Missty/foggy mornings are the most beautiful thing to see and well its deffo an Autumn/winter thing, won't be seeing this in Summer.

Gone are the Daffodils and Sunflowers. Here are the strong weather resistant heather.    Although seeing this many spiderwebs would freak anybody out seeing the frost on the webs first thing in the morning is so magical.

While out for a walk one evening (absolutely freezing my toes off) I literally seen the fog rising over the river and it was amazing. It was one of those times when you just stop and watch in awe as something truly earthy happens and you get that kind of once- in- a- lifetime feeling knowing you have to appreciate it because it won't ever be the same again.
