They say don't work with animals, try taking a picture with five... the cat not wanting to be there at all and the dog trying to eat the hamster. |
I shall start with Millie as she is the 'Queen'. We got Millie as a little ball of fluff aged just 8 weeks and because of us all having asthma we couldn't have pets except goldfish (look how long that lasted) but from the moment we met we hit it off, well technically she was terrified and my pocket was there to protect her. Now aged five Millie rules the house, as most cats do. She decides when and where she sleeps, there is no moving her. If she wants a door opened you must obey and as you can see from the picture if she doesn't particularly like her own bed she will claim yours.
Anyone with a dog will understand what I mean when I say this little boy means the world to me. From the moment Bobby came into our home he was a part of the family, mainly because he made himself comfortable not because we invited him or anything. He knows when I'm sad, happy, tired and every other feeling I could have and with him I end my day the best way with cuddles as we fall asleep.
After many debates I finally plucked up the courage to get a Dwarf hamster and who wouldn't, look at this little cutey. Then came the hard name choosing ceremony .. I give you Jellybean. Yes I had to sit in the vets room one day and answer to the name "Tracy and ehh Jellybean??". But I love this lad so much and I think he has a happy life being spoilt with lots of treats and a big ol' cage, way too big for him
Last but deffontly not least India (front fish) and Amarillo (back fish). I got India along with Rodger RIP on the day of my first Junior Cert exam: English and I will always remember most people stressing about the exams and I was stressing about names for my new fish. A few years later I picked up Amarillo, named because he was a canary yellow fish and Amarillo means yellow in Spanish. I Googled it.
That is it for my collection.. Hmmm I mean family, and seeing as today is World Animal Day remember to be kind to our furry, scaley and even hairless friends they joy the bring us should be returned to them.
