Autumn Photography- Blogtober Day 7

Autumn is all about the colors, oranges, reds, browns, the last pop of color before the white of Winter. If there's any time of the year you're going to get out in nature and take some photos, nows the time. I don't know if its just me, but everything looks so more real, breathtaking and beautiful in Autumn.  This time of year is when you appreciate everything, coming up to Christmas your appreciating family, but in Autumn it's time to appreciate the world we're in and how naturally beautiful it is. I think its the fact that we know this season doesn't last, I know all seasons change but we may have some sun in winter, some cold weather in summer whereas with Autumn this is the one time of year (in Ireland anyway) where we have a whole season for just three months and then it moves on, you have to appreciate it while it's here.These leaves we see changing colors and blowing on the ground, they will move on making way for snowflakes and the chilly mornings and sunny evenings, they will pass for cold harsh winter mornings and dark evenings, we're really seeing the outdoors at it's finest right now. Don't get me wrong I love the snowy landscapes and sunny beaches just as much, but Autumn just does something to me, it makes me appreciate everything including the beautiful nature outdoors.
Along my way, passing Autumn daily I've taken my time to really look at my surroundings and appreciate what's in front of me. And because of the beautiful sights, I couldn't help getting some photos of nature at its finest. I also included some photos of food that caught my eye and made me think of the Autumn colors.

At the beginning of September, we took a trip to a local park and it was so beautiful with the leaves beginning to change color. I can't wait to go back now and see how it's grown. 

As the sunset at the top of the park, the oranges of the leaves made a golden ring around the green area.

Even the grass was such a vibrant color and left our prints behind in. 

On our walk home I noticed this incredible tree with such vibrant red berries

I was cutting up some yellow peppers and onions and thought how Autumny they looked so decided to gather other natural foods into the picture.

I walk this path every day onto the college campus and it gets more and more beautiful as the days pass and the leaves grow, change and fall. Every morning I'm met with this beautiful sight that surprises me again and again at how amazing the colors and nature is.   (this photo does not do justice to how beautiful it is, but how lucky are we students who met this walkway every morning.)

I may add some more to this post or create similar picture posts as I really super do love Autumn as you can probably tell by now.

Autumn Date Night- Blogtober Day 6

I think for everyone Autumn is about coziness, it certainly is for me anyway, and date night is the perfect night to embrace that.  We've made a pact to have a date night once a week because of me being gone from 8-6 every day with college, then working and straight to bed, we're not spending much time together, so date night is a must. Bare in mind we are living on an extreme student budget so these date nights are free or cost very little and are super simple to do, it only takes something small to make it special. 

So with all that in mind, I give you my must-try Autumn Date Night. 

We're all big kids at heart and I don't think anyone would turn down the opportunity to build a  blanket fort. I had this idea to build a fort as we did it before for Valentine's day and had great fun building it together and then relaxing with a movie in it, and then I thought what a better thing to do during Autumn as its a chilly evening in the middle of October in Ireland nothing beats being indoors. Picture loads of layers of blankets, cinnamon scented candles scenting the air and warm buttery popcorn.. could it be more Autumny?

Of course, the structure of the fort depends on your space and how good your childhood skills in this area are, just remember this is 'date night' and have fun with it, don't let it cause an argument when he thinks he has a qualification in construction and you imagine yourself as an interior designer.  We used our couch and chairs as props to drape the blankets over and turned around one of our chairs to place the laptop in, it actually all fit quite perfectly in the end. 

To decorate our little fort, we added candles on the outside and a red lava lamp for some light and to make it even cozier we added a spare duvet on the floor to sit on, some pillows and a blanket over us. 

Lastly all you have to do to make the perfect Autumn Date Night is cook some fresh warm popcorn, grab an extra blanket (I mean you can never have enough), find the perfect Autumny movie (we watched Kingsman, not very Autumny but great) and lie back and relax while the rain beats at the window and your tucked up in the arms of your lover (too much?) in your homemade fort.

Primark Autumn Wishlist- Blogtober Day 4

It has come to that time of the year where all you want are the cosy clothes, spiced scented candles and pumpkin shaped everything. There really is something about Autumn that makes you want to buy the craziest of things because they are cinnamon scented or have cute pumpkins on top. Primark/Penny's have been on top of their game lately with the most amazing fashion and have THE BEST selection of Harry Potter things in store right now. I know its not technically Autumn themed but man am I loving there bits right now.

Here are a couple of things I saw and have been dreaming about.

I adore this velvet jacket for the colour and the edgeyness of the zips and buttons and think it would go with so many outfits and make a statement piece for many casuall looks.

Although this set may look slightly Christmassy, I really like the dark eyeshadow tones for Autumn colours and even the box is Autumny. 

This travel cup couldn't be any more Autumny if it tried. And how good would it look holding it in wooly gloved hand in an Instagram shot with trees in the background and leaves on the ground. 

Every girl has wanted to be a mermaid at one point right? How freaking cute are these mermaid blankets seen everywhere right now. I have seen a few different types in Penny's some more knitted looking and different colours. Spending the chilly evenings tucked up in this reading a book is what dreams are made off. 

And now to the most exciting part. I love how dedicated Penny's went to produce this amazing line of HP items from clothes to school stationery, they even did the photo shoot in Hogwarts at the Wizarding World. I've seen photos from so many Primark's in England completely decorated with trunks and brooms, everything magical. It's so good to see the magic is still alive. 

I know the pyjamas are technically for children but I super badly want the Gryffindor onesie. It looks so cosy and then can fell part of Hogwarts as well. 

I have a gazillion dressing gowns already that I don't use but I mean THIS ONE IS DUMBLEDORES!!... or looks a lot like his. 

Lastly, the stationary. This range came out as everyone prepared for #BackToHogwarts and I fell deeply in love. I love how the notebook and pencil holder has an almost old style to them so it looks like it belongs in Hogwarts.

When it comes to Primark/Penny's you will never not find what you need and at this time of year their homeware, as well as their fashion, gets even better.
